Switzerland - 10-20 September

Swiss style is very 'schlick'. Thomas' unit (friend we are staying with) offers another dimension to that, due to his  creative soul - being a sculptor and photographer just for starters.

Above left: Sahayak undertaking his daily musical ritual, surrounded with Swiss style...note the clever 'table' parked on the edge of the sofa (with the plant on it) - such a clever, simple and versatile idea for a place to put your cuppa! Also note the sculpture of the sunflower behind the couch.

Above middle: One of Thomas' sculptures - note that is is a wine bottle holder! (I believe he also created the mirror behind it.)

Above right: ...wait for it... it's the stairs for Thomas' sister's three cats who live on the third floor so they can get to the garden!!!!!!!!!!

Candid camera! Photographer snaps photographer in Bern.

Trip highlight so far...visiting the Hangbauhaus in Bern.

Interlaken area. Yes, it really does look as nice as the photo!

The view from our backpacker lodge window in Interlaken!

So we decided it would be great to have a jam out in the Swiss countryside...didn't last long as Thomas did not have enough warm things to wear in the chilly day/wind (and he's the local!) So we opted for a quick photo opportunity and then piled back into the warm car! Note Thomas' 'travel didge' - absolutely awesome sound it makes. I have never heard of one, and ironic that I had to go to Switzerland  to discover it!

Sahayak checking out the 'fall' part of the waterfall! This is Trummelbachfalle in the Interlaken area.

Yes, it was a bit chilly and breezy at 'Rheinfall' (waterfall on the Rhein River in Switzerland.
