The ‘impressionism’ special effects you see in many of these photographs have mostly been created at the time the photo was taken, not by computer manipulation.

There is great enjoyment and fun in taking an ordinary subject that people might walk past without even noticing, and with a bit of creative play with my camera, turning it from ordinary into extraordinary. This effect is created with a combination of speed, time, movement and an artistic eye.
